The healthcare domain has been entering the digital era for many years now. Still, only recently it started to apply the digitalization of processes and services on a larger scale. A critical enabler is the increased availability of all kinds of health-related data. Digital Health is expected to grow in importance in the coming years, promising the possibility of enhancing the efficiency of healthcare delivery and making medicine more personalized and precise. It can empower consumers to make better-informed decisions about their health and provide new options for facilitating prevention, early diagnosis of life-threatening diseases, and managing chronic conditions outside traditional care settings.
In this respect, our main research interests are:
- Data acquisition and analysis mainly in the field of neurodegenerative disease to support early diagnosis and personalized treatments;
- Development of mobile health, personalized health, and telemedicine systems for acquiring and analyzing data to support treatment and diagnosis;
- Development of systems to support data management, process optimization, and the improvement of care pathways in healthcare facilities.
